Pale Waves Comeback

Calling all fans of Pale Waves, it has been a while since their first album came out and I’m sure that you’re hungry for more. On the 31st of January, Pale Waves Twitter account released a trailer of the band practicing with their instruments – the tweet said, ‘Album 2.’  I have never been so ready! Pale Waves have been super busy with tours recently, so it’s understandable as to why it took until now for a new album. I am sure it will be worth the wait. They’ve now got extra experience under their belts and I am positive Pale Waves’ album will be even better than the last, especially with them taking on board the compliments and critiques given to them by fans. They have said they plan to take a different approach for this album, as they’ve had people say, “they’re much better live.” In an interview with NME they mentioned listening to a lot of Graveyard club and Heather (the lead singer) mentioned listening to Pop-Punk – so it will be interesting to see if this will inspire/influence any of the songs on the album.

For anyone who is not familiar with Pale Waves, I would describe them as a goth, synth band. Their music is very catchy and reminds me of the 80’s but with a modern twist. Almost like a mix between New Romantic and Synth-Rock. Their first album ‘My mind makes noises’ is so good and I recommend you listen to that album to get a taste of what’s to come. In addition to their music, I find their videos very creative and aesthetically appealing; if you get the chance, I recommend giving them a watch.
