Glittering Indie Dream Pop band Anteros is made up of Laura Hayden, Harry Balazs, Joshua Rumble and Jackson Couzens. Laura is originally from Barcelona and moved from there to London where Anteros then formed as a band in 2014; it was just Laura and Josh who anonymously released their debut self-titled single. Since then the band has grown into a new indie favourite with songs such as ‘Bonnie‘ and ‘Drunk‘ bringing fans together from all walks of life to enjoy the fresh, groovy, infectious tunes. Their music gives off definite Blondie/The Cure vibes to me.
They supported everyone’s faves – Two Door Cinema Club last year and have been playing loads of shows up and down the country, including festivals such as Live at Leeds, which is where I caught them this year. Hayden is a big supporter of feminism in music and women in general; during their live performance of ‘Bonnie,’ she usually invites girls up on stage to have a dance and embrace the eccentricities and differences that we all have. It is so empowering for young girls to have such a cool role model like this, I think.
Their brand new single, ‘Call Your Mother‘ is out now & they’ll be heading out on tour in October! Get your tickets now as this incredible band is certainly not one to be missed!
