I’ve been following Liam Hodges for quite a few years now; his ability to create collections that all differ from each other and bring something new is insane. He never disappoints and he’s proved that yet again with his amazing SS19 collection, Slick Trash.
The collection was predominantly inspired by Vegas as well as urban tribes/culture. It varied from eclectic tracksuits to mismatched checked/plaid pyjamas with white piped edges to Hawaiian themed pieces as well as the classic american bowling shirt which featured leopard print and flames. In some of his pieces he also included witty slogans like: crapped out and one way as well as some juxtaposition ones like ‘alone together,’ ‘lost found‘ and ‘broke money.’
I wouldn’t say I liked every piece in the collection as I usually don’t but I fully appreciate the creativity and hard work that went into this collection. I always wonder how wearable some of these collections are but Liam always has the right balance between the creative fashion mind and easily wearable. Check out my favourite looks below.
