A lot has happened since we last caught up with Chelji; she’s been to LA and back to Glasgow recording new songs all the time. As some of you may know, I am a huge fan of chelji’s and have been highly anticipating the release of new music. She released little snippets over the last month from her upcoming EP ‘LOVE’ and yesterday she dropped the rough version of her song cum or cry. Now I know what you’re thinking ‘A rough version?’ Yes and for a rough version that was recorded on her iPhone; it bangs. It’s what you may class as a ‘love/relationship’ song which comes under the genre chillwave.
This is the type of song you can just zone out to and get high to; warning though it will get you in your feels. The title is pretty self explanatory. In most relationships they’ll spend most of their time making you cum or cry.
I like this song as she has a very soothing voice especially if you’re agitated or getting anxiety. Also it is very easy to learn the lyrics which is sick cos who doesn’t like belting out the lyrics to their favourite song. In fact it reminds me of a song Amy Winehouse would’ve written if she was still alive; hey you never know she could be the next Winehouse.
